Did everyone get some stitching in this past weekend? I can say I did. On Thursday afternoon I decided to stitch some beads on the Spiritdancer. I was having one of those moments where everything was going wrong. I was having difficulties attaching the beads because the lighting wasn't working and I was getting frustrated by the minute. I put it away hoping Friday would see better results. I started on it and I just couldn't get into it. I think my bad mood wasn't helping me at all. Even the hot flashes were coming on strong where as a week ago they were non-existent. I did get some beading done but not as I had hoped. It just wasn't happening this weekend.

Since I wasn't having fun with the Spiritdancer I worked on and finished my Christmas Ornament Exchange I am doing with
Kate. I can't show you but will as soon as she gets it.
I also started a little something for
Cucki. I am calling this a "Just Because" project. I still have some stitching and then I need to finish it and get it in the mail soon.
That is all I have to update on my stitching at this time. Last Friday the 16th my husband and I went for a bike ride. On the way home I saw this black looking spider crawling across the road.
I told my husband and he wanted to turn around to see it and take a photo with our cell phone. I was going to turn around but I heard what sounded like a vehicle coming up behind so I stayed to the side waiting for it to pass. It wasn't a vehicle but to the right of us was an F-18 75 feet away from us and less than 200 feet off the ground screaming by us. It was
Awesome! I would love to had taken a picture but there was no time. I should mention that we were on a back road that we ride our bikes on. We live near a naval base so seeing these jets out in the desert is no surprise. They are usually much higher.
We did get a picture of a Tarantula. We kept our distance.
You never know what you will see out in the desert. A few months ago while on my bike I was on a stretch of highway and looked up in time to see a coyote some 50 feet crossing over the highway. I was scared but decided he was probably more scared of me then I was of him so I made sure to pick up the pace and get home!
